“The projects include: 108 km four-lane controlled green expressway from Warangal to Khammam section of NH-163G” and 90 km four-lane controlled green expressway, from Khammam to Vijayawada section of NH -163G. Besides, Prime Minister Modi also dedicated to the country a road project – “4 lanes of 59 km on Suryapet to Khammam section of NH-365BB” built at a cost of around Rs 2,460 crore.

“The project is a part of the Hyderabad – Visakhapatnam corridor and is being developed under Bharatmala Pariyojana. It will also provide better connectivity with Khammam district and coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh,” an official release said.

In the project, the Prime Minister has reserved “37 km of new Jaklair – Krishna railway”. Built at a cost of over Rs 500 crore, the new railway line puts areas of backward Narayanpet district on the railway map for the first time.

He also announced the launch of Hyderabad (Kacheguda) – Raichur – Hyderabad (Kacheguda) train from Krishna railway station through video conferencing. The train service will connect Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Mahabubnagar and Narayanpet districts of Telangana with Raichur district of Karnataka. The PMO said the line will provide rail connectivity to several new areas in the backward districts of Mahabubnagar and Narayanpet for the first time, benefiting students, daily commuters, laborers and the textile industry Local crafts in the area.

The Prime Minister also dedicated the “Hassan-Cherlapalli LPG Gas Pipeline Project” to the country. Prime Minister Modi also laid the foundation stone for the ‘Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) multi-product oil pipeline from Krishnapatnam to Hyderabad (Malkapur)’.

“The 425 km pipeline will be constructed at a cost of Rs 1,940 crore. This pipeline will provide a safe, faster, efficient and environmentally friendly mode of transporting petroleum products in the region,” an official statement said.
Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated “five new buildings of the University of Hyderabad”, which are the School of Economics; School of Mathematics and Statistics; School of Management Studies; Hall Complex – III; and Sarojini Naidu School of Arts and Media.

“The infrastructure upgrade of the University of Hyderabad is a step towards providing improved facilities and amenities to the students and faculty,” an official statement said.
