Earthquake of extent 44 shocks Afghanistans Fayzabad

A earthquake of extent 4.4 on the Richter Scale shocked Afghanistan’s Fayzabad on Monday morning, the Public Community for Seismology (NCS) said.

As per the NCS, the tremor happened around 08:04:05 (IST) at a profundity of 180 kilometers. The shudder was situated at 151 kilometers South-Southeast (SSE) of Fayzabad.

“Seismic tremor of Magnitude:4.4, Happened on 11-12-2023, 08:04:05 IST, Lat: 35.77 & Long: 70.91, Depth: 180 Km, in the Place: 151km SSE of Fayzabad, Afghanistan,” the NCS posted on X.
Last month, one more seismic tremor of size 4.5 extent struck Fayzabad in the main week.

“Tremor of Magnitude:4.5, Happened on 05-11-2023, 01:25:36 IST, Lat: 37.64 & Long: 74.21, Depth: 10 Km, Area: 328km ENE of Fayzabad,” NCS posted on X (previously Twitter).

Quite, in October, a lethal quake in the Herat region of Afghanistan guaranteed in excess of 4,000 resides and obliterated a large number of private houses.

Herat and encompassing districts were shaken by the size 6.3 seismic tremor and its strong consequential convulsions.
