Congress MP Rahul Gandhi jumped out of a car on Sunday as part of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra to meet BJP and Modi supporters and in Assam. The grand old party shared a video on its official profile X (formerly Twitter) of a crowd chanting “Modi-Modi and “Jai Shree Ram holding saffron flags.In the footage, Rahul Gandhi was seen asking the chief  Why you don’t stop here?” and blows flying kisses to his rivals’ fans. As soon as the driver stopped, Rahul Gandhi got out of the car to greet them.The Congress party shared the video on a microblogging site and said, Mohabbat ki dukaan is open to all, India unites and India wins.”

From January 18 to January 25, the Assam phase of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will pass through 17 districts of the state and districts in the North Eastern region.Meanwhile, on Sunday night, Rahul Gandhi was attacked by a mob at a roadside restaurant in Assam’s Nagaon district. According to an eyewitness, there was another attack against party workers and vehicles when they left the demonstration and that three members of the student organization were taken to hospital with serious injuries.The yatra approached Nagaon through Sonitpur district earlier in the day where state Congress president Bhupen Kumar Borah and senior central leader Jairam Rameshand were attacked twice a carEarlier in the day, Gandhiand’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra reached central Assam. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge was present when the politicians addressed a public meeting in Kaliabor in the afternoon.Guards took Gandhi and other politicians from the restaurant.
